ABOUT THE PRIDE OF GREENMAN PTO:

Joining the PTO is free and open to all Greenman families.

Our PTO supports the school through fundraising activities like Restaurant Nights, Candy Grams, and other events throughout the school year. These efforts help us give back to students, teachers, and staff in meaningful ways.

When you join the PTO, you’ll:

• Receive updates about events, activities, and school needs
• Be invited to PTO meetings
• Learn about volunteer opportunities (big and small!)
• Have a voice—share ideas and help shape what we do

Attendance at meetings and volunteering are never required but always appreciated. Every level of involvement makes a difference, and we truly couldn’t do this without the support of our amazing Greenman community.

What is our mission?

Greenman Elementary School PTO exists to champion our students and school by building community, supporting teachers and staff, and creating memorable experiences that make elementary school a place kids love to learn and grow.

1. Stronger School–Family Connection
A PTO builds meaningful partnerships between families and the school, helping parents feel informed, involved, and invested in their children’s education.

2. Support for Teachers and Staff
From classroom resources to appreciation initiatives, PTOs help boost morale, reduce out-of-pocket spending by teachers, and show staff they are valued.

3. Community Building
School events hosted by the PTO create opportunities for families to connect with one another, strengthening a sense of belonging and school pride.

4. Increased Student Engagement and Success
Research consistently shows that family involvement is linked to better attendance, behavior, and academic outcomes. PTOs make involvement accessible and welcoming.

5. Creating Joyful School Memories 
Spirit events, celebrations, and traditions led by PTOs help create positive experiences that students remember long after they leave elementary school.

Where does the money go?

• The PTO proudly supports the End of Year Celebration, where students gather with classmates, outside the classroom to let loose and have fun
• Teacher appreciation events to thank the teachers and staff for everything they do for the students of Greenman Elementary
• The PTO pays for insurance to make sure that everyone is safe during sponsored events.

How can I be a part of the PTO when I work all day?

The PTO Board Members all work Full-Time as well. There are many opportunities to help our children that can be part of one’s everyday routine.

• Donate packaged food or drinks for events, bake for Teacher Appreciation week, or provide ideas for fundraising that we may not have thought of.
• Support Greenman PTO and our local businesses through our Restaurant Nights
• You can volunteer to lead a committee or a specific event. We always need help with planning and/or execution.  Volunteering can be as much or as little as you would like. EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS!
