Ms. Kelly Papp

Welcome to Greenman Elementary School! It is my honor and joy to serve as the principal of this school. Greenman is a wonderful community where students, staff and families are all connected as a community. It has been my pleasure to get to know this community and am excited to continue our work together! In our learning communities, we practice being respectful, responsible, and safe each day. We work hard as a school community to build relationships and want all of our students to feel safe, connected, and welcomed here at Greenman.

I graduated from Illinois State University with my Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and a minor in Spanish. I started my educational career at Hill Elementary School in West Aurora as a 5th grade teacher. I then moved on to teach 4th grade there as well for a total of 16 years. After that, I moved onto the STEM position at Greenman Elementary School. While teaching, I pursued my master's degree in educational leadership from Aurora University. I also completed my ESL certificate from Aurora University. In 2018, I became the assistant principal at Nicolson Elementary School. After two years, I left to start my career as principal at Greenman where I am today.

As you can see, West Aurora has been home to me for my whole career. I am thankful for the opportunities that I have had here and am excited for what is awaiting for Greenman this next year! Feel free to become a part of our lion community, we would love to have you here! As I say to the students each day, "Let's make it a great day, because it is always a good day to be a Greenman Lion."

Hello Lions!

My name is Sarah Malcolm and I am honored to serve as your assistant principal. I was born and raised in Michigan and moved to Chicago to begin my teaching career. I taught third, fourth, and fifth grade for a little over ten years before becoming an instructional coach, math specialist, curriculum coordinator, and now an assistant principal.

Educationally, I received a Bachelor of Science in health science and a Master of Arts in elementary education from Grand Valley State University. Additionally, I attended Northeastern Illinois University where I received a Master of Arts in educational leadership.

In my spare time, you might find me at my children's sporting events or doing a home improvement project. I enjoy woodworking, learning & engaging in new experiences, reading, and spending time with my family. I currently reside in Glen Ellyn with my husband, Mike, and our children, Matthew and Amelia.

I am extremely proud to be part of Greenman’s amazing school community and I look forward to serving and learning alongside you this school year!
